A resale shop focused on you

For the season
you're in.

Common Thread is a neighborhood-focused popup for all seasons - maternity, newborn, and growing kids, bought outright from the families who live here and passed gently to the ones who need them next.

What we carry

Three short
seasons,
one shop.

Children grow out of clothes the way trees lose leaves, quickly, quietly, and all at once. We sort what comes in by season and stage so you can grab what you need today and pass along what you've outgrown next time we come around.

  1. 01

    Maternity

Soft layers, second-trimester staples, and the dresses you only need for a few months.

  2. 02

    Newborn & baby

Tiny knits, sleepers, swaddles. Outgrown quickly, passed along gently.

  3. 03

    Growing kids

Up through size 5: the well-loved corduroys, the still-stiff Sunday shoes.

Our story

A closet clean-out that found me a neighborhood.

Common Thread started with bins of baby clothes stacked in my spare room. Keep it? Sell it? Donate it? I couldn't decide, and Facebook Marketplace didn't help: no-shows, and nobody's driving across town for one onesie.

I'd been in Charlotte almost a decade by then, still looking for a way into the neighborhood. Turns out selling other people's outgrown clothes was it. I buy everything outright, no consignment, no waiting to see if something sells. The money's yours the moment the clothes leave your house. And since I come to you and sort on the spot, you never even have to leave home to do it.
